Christian Siriano + Payless = Fierce
Christian Siriano -- the adorable and talented winner of "Project Runway," season four -- made waves with the shoes he sent down the runway at New York Fashion Week earlier this month.

The booties and platform pumps, with cone-shaped heels and Gothic details like chains and spikes, came in rich colors like turqouise and brown. And studded handbags rounded out the accessories. (Siriano says Cleopatra was an influence.)

And they were all created in partnership with -- wait for it -- Payless ShoeSource.

That means that unlike a lot of runway shoes, Siriano's stunners will actually go on sale -- at completely affordable prices. This is just one more example of Payless' partnership with the fashion world. Abaete, Alice + Olivia and Lela Rose have all contributed mini-collections to the mass retailer's shelves.

The only thing we'd change about Christian Siriano for Payless? The fact that we'll have to wait until September, when the line hits stores, to snag a pair.

Christian Louboutin Visits Washington, D.C. for the First Time - Talks Politics, Knocks Comfort

Christian Louboutin (left) sounds off on politics and not wanting his shoes to say "comfort." No worries, these leopard print peep-toe platforms (right) don't. Photos: Stephen Lovekin, Getty Images | NeimanMarcus.com

Stiletto maestro Christian Louboutin recently visited Washington, D.C. to sign his famous red soles at Neiman Marcus in Tysons Galleria shopping center.

Aptly, the shoe designer talked politics when it came to his first visit to the nation's capital:

"For eight years I was invited, but I never wanted to come before. I never wanted to come with Bush. I'm looking forward to coming back -- at least for four years," as reported in the Washington Post. Not one to be press-shy, the outspoken Frenchman didn't stop there, "I would hate for someone to look at my shoe and say, 'Oh my God! That looks so comfortable!' That's not what I want to project. But I'm not a sadist," Louboutin told the newspaper. (Quelle horreur!)

Adding, "I don't believe suffering makes you beautiful. But comfort is not part of my creative process."

Job well done! When we see his heels, we think costly not comfy. (But we'd still skip a month's rent to buy a pair.)

And here's one client who has no problem trading practical for platform.

Christian Louboutins for Under $200 - Who You Kidding?

Ain't Nothing like the real thing, baby! Photo courtesy of Christian Louboutin

Lately, there's been a proliferation of sites (christianlouboutinus.com, buylouboutins.com, louboutinsale.com) offering the most coveted shoes for under $200.

Your initial reaction is probably to fling your laptop/baby/coffee and grab your credit card faster than Speidi shows up to the opening of an envelope.

But buyer beware! Not only will you get ripped off if you buy these fakes (the pictures may be real, pulled from the Neiman Marcus or Saks site), but the shoes you'll receive will be about as authentic as Lisa Rinna's lips.

The Louboutin look-alikes are often advertised on popular Websites like -- and no offense to this guy because who can hate on the Queen of All Media? -- Perez Hilton. Plus, who isn't looking for a great deal on high-end designers? Especially, these days!

It's just that purchasing the red-soled rip-offs from these bogus sites may affect your real soul: According to Reuters, profits are allegedly used to help fund terrorist activities. And apparently, global counterfeit trading is up 20 percent this year due to the economy. That's close to a trillion dollars (whatever that means); the point is replicas are running rampant.

So either save up for inevitable markdowns at a reputable store or visit the official site (christianlouboutin.com) for a list of authorized vendors.

Cashmere Care 101 - Tip of the Day!
So Christmas finally brought you that cashmere you've been craving. But do you know how to take care of it?

The last thing you want to do is ruin that beautiful (and expensive) scarf or sweater that you received over the holidays. Here are some quick and easy cashmere care tips to keep your duds looking dapper.

• Hand wash in cool water.

• Use gentle wool soap with lanolin.

• Only wash seasonally (4 times per year) to keep fibers intact.

• To dry, lay the sweater on a flat surface.

• Do not dry clean. It is too hard on the fabric.

• Do not use the dryer either. You'll open the door to shreds! Okay maybe not shreds but the sight won't be pretty.

Don't have any cashmere to care for? Shop here now!

Calvin Klein Launches Potty-Mouthed Videos To Promote New Underwear Collection
No stranger to controversy, Calvin Klein is launching a series of expletive-ridden videos to promote CK's new men 's X Underwear collection.

The brand's new microsite, xmarkyourspot.com, features a mini-films with ripped campaign models Kellan Lutz of Twilight fame, Mehcad Brooks from True Blood, Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco and Japanese soccer star Hidetoshi Nakata.

Shot by photographer Mikael Jansson and film producer Darius Khondji in New York, the four greased-up and nearly naked men show off the Spring 2010 cotton and microfiber underwear, while baiting viewers with a string of bleep-ed out comments. A sampling, below:

"You want to see my [bleep]? I'll show you my [bleep], if you show me yours. C'mon, don't be shy. You want to see more, you want some [bleep]ing more? You know you like that [bleep]. It's all about the [bleep]ing Calvin's. Calvin Klein X. Mark your spot."

Steamy enough for you?

Fans can also check out behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with each of the hunks, in which they all answer the age-old question, boxers or briefs?, and let us know how they got their bodies CK-ready.

"You just look at it and it talks sex appeal. I think the fans are really going to go kind of crazy over this," says Lutz, 24, a boxer-briefs man who plays a vampire in the Twilight series. "I had to step away from my candy because I have a candy drawer. I had to be good and put the [gummy bears] away."

The Calvin Klein X Underwear collection will hit stores in April 2010, at the same time that the print ads will roll out in April issues of magazines and outdoor billboards will pop up in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

The video ads, which are perhaps too racy for the U.S., will play on MTV in Spain, Italy and the U.K.

What do you think of the new Calvin ads: appropriately brash or distasteful? Let us know in a comment below.

First, Donatella Versace dished on behind-the-scenes catfighting among the legendary supers. Now, Calvin Klein is spilling on a certain mega-model’s bad behavior.

Klein spoke out on the legendary ’90s Kate Moss and Mark Wahlberg campaign and had less than kind words for the waifish supermodel.

“It didn’t go too well. She didn’t like him at all. He was a pleasure. I have worked with so many women, great ones, and Kate was always difficult,” the designer told Telegraph UK.

While Klein does admit that Kate is a “great model” how much trouble is too much when it comes to bad behavior?

Naomi Campbell is notorious for her outbursts. The supermodel’s former agent, John Casablancas, once told Complex magazine, “Naomi has a really nasty side, because of her temperament, her lifestyle and her history. I like her a lot, but I would not work with her again for all the gold on earth.

“She was abusive with her booking staff and it was unbearable. Naomi is a ‘bad girl,’ but she is also a very, very good person. She must learn how to manage her anger. When she loses it and beats up her nannies or secretaries it causes her trouble.”

In Linda Evangelista’s case, it wasn’t so much bad behavior, but getting her onset that proved to be the issue. “We don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day,” she infamously told Vogue’s Jonathan Van Meter.

So while Donatella complains that models today need more ego, we’re betting fashion insiders are done with the unnecessary drama. Just take a look at up-and-comer Karlie Kloss, who landed the Hermés, Oscar de la Renta and Dior campaigns.

The 17-year-old is reportedly a dream to work with. “She’s disciplined and has danceability, repetition and gorgeous legs. And she’s happy to hang up her clothes after each picture,” famed photographer Arthur Elgort raves.

On the other hand, if a little drama means more personality, then Love magazine’s latest issue is chock full of it.

The champagne is surely flowing at Christopher Bailey’s house.

Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer was dually blessed at last night’s British Fashion Awards, taking home both the award for Designer of the Year and for Designer Brand of the Year, reports the Daily Mail.

Clutching his bookends (left), Bailey also used the opportunity to officially announce that Burberry will be returning to London Fashion Week in February, as we previously reported. The British brand had been showing in Milan until last season’s homecoming in honor of the British Fashion Council’s 25th anniversary.

Another big winner of the night was rock heiress Georgia May Jagger, who beat out Daisy Lowe and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the Model of the Year award.

The BFC British Collection of the Year honor went to Christopher Kane, while Katie Hillier was named Accessory Designer of the Year.

Vogue’s fiery-haired breakout star, Grace Coddington, won the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator, while Dior’s John Galliano walked away with the award for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design, according to the paper.

Dunhill’s Kim Jones nabbed Menswear Designer of the Year, while Swarovski’s Emerging Talent Award went to Holly Fulton for accessories and Peter Pilotto for ready-to-wear.

And last but not least, Kate Moss scored the London 25 award, which honors those who serve as an “international ambassador” for London fashion, according to the Daily Mail.

(Admit it — you thought the 25 referred to her weight.)

Meanwhile, see who landed on the British Fashion Council’s Power List.
