She says she is still obsessed and would love to be his assistant for the day.
Gwion will be joined by fellow welsh hopeful Jordan, 13, from Wrexham as they vie with 10 others to become Oliver.
Gwion has aspirations to become director when he is older and his favourite musical is Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Jordan is a big fan os Les Miserables and dreams of playing the role of Jean Valjean when he is too old to play Oliver.
Three young boys will also be chosen to play orphaned urchin Oliver.
The 24 hopefuls will face the public vote in a show hosted by Graham Norton on BBC One from next Saturday.
